About LEGO Botanicals

Botanicals is LEGO's line of brick-built flowers, houseplants and arrangements aimed at adults who want something decorative rather than something to play with. The appeal lies in parts usage: frog legs become petals, minifigure accessories become stamens, and ordinary plates are layered into surprisingly convincing leaves. Most sets are quick, relaxing builds that end up on a shelf, windowsill or dining table, which is also why the line has drawn in many people who would never otherwise buy LEGO.

The range spans small single stems and compact potted plants up to large seasonal and centrepiece builds. Among the biggest sets Brickheist tracks are the Wreath (10340), the Flower Arrangement (10345) and the Wildflower Bouquet (10313), all close to or above a thousand pieces. Recent additions such as Cozy Plants (10371), Hanging Golden Pothos (11512) and Dark Flower Arrangement (11513) show the theme moving further into houseplants and moodier colour palettes, while many bouquets are designed to be combined with each other in a vase.

Botanicals is one of the most heavily discounted themes in our catalogue. Almost every set we track is currently on offer somewhere, and the average saving among discounted sets is around a third of the recommended price. That reflects wide distribution through toy shops, department stores and supermarkets. Very few sets have retired so far, and while early bouquets have held interest, the theme is bought mostly for display, so it has not behaved like a classic investment line.

Because offers are so common, there is rarely a reason to pay full price for a Botanicals set. Compare several shops before buying, and keep an eye on the run-up to Mother's Day, Valentine's Day and the Christmas season, when retailers push flower sets hardest. Mid-sized bouquets usually give the best balance of pieces and display size for the money, and buying two or three complementary stems often makes a fuller arrangement than one large set.
